Complex Process Skid
Multi-module process systems, integrated onto a single platform and built to cGMP and hygienic design standards.
Overview
One Platform for Several Process Steps
Esteril designs and manufactures complex process skids that integrate multiple process modules onto a single compact platform. Each skid is custom-engineered to a defined process, built to cGMP and hygienic design standards, and delivered ready for installation into new or existing facilities.
The systems support formulations that demand high process precision, sterility, and repeatable operation, including high-potency and oncology applications.

Frequently Asked Questions
A complex process skid integrates several process equipment modules, such as vessels, pumps, heat exchangers, filtration and instrumentation, onto a single pre-assembled platform. It is engineered, wired and piped as one unit, factory-tested, then installed with minimal on-site work.
They are specified for demanding formulations including conventional and suspension injectables, depot and controlled-release systems, microsphere and nanoparticle delivery, lipid-based formulations and liposomes, and peptide and protein injectables, often for high-potency and oncology applications.
The skid can integrate specialised equipment such as high-pressure homogenizers, vibromixers, thin film evaporators, spray dryers and extruders, along with clean utilities including WFI, purified water, clean steam and compressed air.
Skids are designed to cGMP and US FDA requirements, fabricated to ASME BPE standards, and automated for 21 CFR Part 11 electronic records and signatures, with full DQ, IQ, OQ and PQ documentation.
Because the skid is assembled, wired, piped and factory-tested before it ships, on-site work is reduced to placement, utility connection and site acceptance testing. This shortens installation and commissioning compared with building the system in place.
Systems are built to a range of capacities up to 25,000 L, sized to the specific process.
